Job Title: Domestic Abuse Practitioner
Location: Central Northampton (Three Sites)
Reporting To: Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

Assist in the day-to-day running of services for women and children recovering from domestic abuse.
Support survivors with complex needs to secure refuge accommodation or remain safely in their homes.
Oversee families' progress through tailored programmes, offering support and strategies.

Working Hours:

37 hours per week, flexible over 5 days. Some unsocial/out-of-hours/evening work required, including On Call Buddy support on a rota basis.

Main Purpose:

Support domestic abuse survivors with additional complex needs to achieve 5 key outcomes.
Facilitate empowerment and progress towards independence.

Requirements:

Knowledge: Domestic abuse qualification, understanding of relevant legislation, safeguarding, equal opportunities.
Experience: Working with diverse support needs, managing caseloads, delivering group work.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess risks and needs of domestic abuse victims, develop tailored support plans.
Build empowering relationships, assist in goal setting and achieving outcomes.
Manage caseload, liaise with staff and volunteers, attend multidisciplinary meetings.
Provide peripatetic services, deliver group work, support residential activities.
Support policy development, comply with data protection and confidentiality.
Assist in service running, provide On Call Buddy backup, cover staff absences.

Job Title: Family Wellbeing Practitioner
Location: Central Northampton (Two Sites) and Community
Reporting To: Development Manager

Responsibilities:

Assist the Wellbeing Service Co-ordinator in delivering therapeutic programmes and activities for all service users, including children and young people.
Offer practical support to empower service users in their daily activities.

Working Hours:

30 hours per week, flexible over 5 days. Some out-of-hours/evening/early morning/weekend work required, including On Call Buddy support on a rota basis.


Main Purpose:

Provide support to domestic abuse survivors, enabling them to lead independent lives.
Facilitate development and rehabilitation through specific interventions.

Requirements:

Key Skills: Therapeutic qualification, trauma-informed approach, experience with trauma and complex needs, outreach services, and domestic abuse knowledge.
Ability: Travel effectively within Northamptonshire and beyond as required.
Understanding: Safeguarding issues and appropriate addressing.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess risks and needs of domestic abuse victims and refer to appropriate agencies.
Support the development and delivery of therapeutic interventions and activity programmes.
Establish and maintain client-centered relationships, managing caseloads effectively.
Comply with data protection and confidentiality policies.

Job Title: Creche Practitioner
Location: Central Northampton (Two Sites)
Reporting To: Operations Manager
Salary: £23,720 pro rata

Responsibilities:
Assist in assessing the needs of children and young people affected by domestic abuse.
Manage day-to-day operations of creche services and programs.
Collaborate with the Children and Young People’s Team Co-ordinator to deliver support sessions.

Working Hours:
27.5 hours per week (9:30 am - 3 pm), 5 days a week.
Occasional out-of-hours, evening, early morning, or weekend work may be required.

Main Purpose:
Provide creche and 1:1 childcare sessions for victims of domestic abuse.
Deliver activities supporting key program outcomes.

Qualifications:
Essential: Child/youth related qualification (e.g., NNEB, NVQ Early Years Child Care Level 3, Teaching qualification, Childhood and Youth degree).
Experience:

Essential: Working with children and young people.
Desirable: Experience working with victims of domestic abuse.

Skills:
Ability to make client-centered decisions.
Clear communication skills.
Proficiency in relationship/domestic abuse group work.
Strong crisis management skills.

Personal Qualities:
Compassion and empathy.
Integrity and respect.
Flexibility and adaptability.
Enthusiastic and positive attitude.

Main Duties:
Act as Child Protection lead when required.
Assess risks and needs of victims and children.
Establish and prioritize play sessions.
Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements.
Support delivery of person-centered support plans.
Assist with meal preparation and planning.
Attend multi-disciplinary meetings as necessary.

Additional Requirements:
Valid driving license and access to a car during working hours (desirable).
Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable).
Food Hygiene certificate (desirable).

Salary: £31,357 per annum with 7.5 weeks holiday

Responsibilities:
Develop, monitor, and assess all programmes for NVCFR service users.
Identify appropriate intervention models for victims of domestic abuse.
Assess effectiveness of interventions and overall service to meet complex needs.
Identify and develop new markets for NVCFR products and services.

Working Hours:
Flexibly 37 hours per week, including some unsocial/out-of-hours/evening work and on-call support.

Main Purpose:
Oversee development and delivery of all NVCFR services, activities, and interventions.
Ensure programme content meets current/future needs and aligns with organisational objectives.

Requirements:
Knowledge: Management qualifications, understanding of domestic abuse policy, therapeutic models, and risk assessment.

Experience:
Extensive experience with victims of domestic abuse, vulnerable adults/children, and programme development.

Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organisational skills. Driving license required.
