Location: Northampton with possibility of some work in other areas of the county.
Salary: £26,038 (pro rata £14,074)
Hours: Part-time, 20 hours/week, flexible working can be discussed
Our domestic abuse charity is looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator who will be accountable for supporting the development and delivery of Volunteer Roles against a co-ordinated recruitment plan as directed by their line manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the PROGRAMMES MANAGER and other members of the Leadership Team to develop, deliver and regularly update the Core Volunteering Programme that meets identified needs of the organisation for the effective delivery of services to all our stakeholders.
- Work with PROGRAMMES MANAGER and other members of the Leadership Team to oversee recruitment of volunteers.
- Support volunteers including ensuring regular supervision/support meetings.
- Work with the PROGRAMMES MANAGER and other colleagues to develop and deliver agreed and bespoke volunteering programmes,
- Work with the PROGRAMMES MANAGER and other colleagues to design and deliver bespoke volunteering programmes for external clients.
- Support delivery of agreed training to volunteers.
- Assist in regularly updating materials for training volunteers.
- Support collection and reporting of management information data, including achievement against outcomes, writing reports.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Working at junior management level, delivery of supervision and co-ordination roles.
- Working with vulnerable adults (and children), including those with complex needs.
- Ability to make professional, client-centred decisions using appropriate policies, procedures to guide those decisions
- Understanding of and ability to deliver in a trauma informed way
- Excellent interpersonal & written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Computer literacy skills – including Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, other presentation software and mail merging/sharing programmes.
- Ability to manage own workload, with appropriate administrative and organisational skills.
- Working with victims of domestic abuse (desired)
